服务条款
本页面仅提供英文版本,以英文版本为准。
You must be 16 or over to use LatexNotes. By creating an account or using the Service you confirm you are 16 or over and agree to these terms.
These terms govern your use of LatexNotes (“the Service”), a tool that turns handwritten maths into LaTeX. By using the Service you agree to them. The Service is in early access. A free tier is available, and an optional paid Pro plan is offered for heavier use and the additional study tools. LatexNotes is operated from the United Kingdom; you can reach us at support@latexnotes.tech or via the Support page.
1. The Service is provided “as is”
LatexNotes transcribes handwriting automatically and can make mistakes. The output is a starting point, not a guaranteed-correct document. You are responsible for checking any transcription before you rely on it or submit it as your own work. We make no warranty that the Service will be accurate, uninterrupted, or available at any particular time.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. It is not intended for, or directed at, children under 16. By using it you confirm you are 16 or over.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the notes you upload and the LaTeX you get back. You grant us a limited licence to process your uploads solely to provide the Service - this includes sending pages, and any region you select for a study tool, to our AI provider (Google’s Gemini API) to generate the LaTeX, explanations, questions, or plots. Google processes that content under its own terms; see the Privacy policy for detail. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
4. Sharing notes
You can share a saved note with other people - by inviting another account or by creating a share link that works for a limited time. If you do, you are responsible for who you share with: a person you share with can view that note, and edit it if you grant edit access, and a share link lets anyone who opens it while it is valid gain that access. Only share content you have the right to share, and where a note contains other people’s personal information, only share it if you are allowed to. You can remove someone’s access, or delete the note, at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful. Do not try to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service or its rate limits. We may suspend access that does so.
6. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Free accounts have monthly usage limits, which may change.
7. Paid plans, billing and cancellation
Pro, and any paid add-ons such as extra storage, are optional subscriptions billed on a recurring basis until you cancel. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record - your billing details are processed on their checkout and never reach LatexNotes. You can cancel any subscription at any time and your access to it continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Where you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase - such as the 14-day cooling-off period for consumers in the UK and EU - that right applies, except that by choosing to start Pro straight away you ask us to begin the service immediately and accept that the cooling-off right ends once it has begun. Refund questions go through the Support page.
8. Changes and availability
Because this is early access, we may change, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, LatexNotes is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for academic, financial, or other outcomes arising from transcription errors or unavailability. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law - including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country where you live.
