If you take maths notes in GoodNotes, you have probably wanted to reuse them as proper typeset LaTeX, for a problem sheet, a write-up, or revision notes you can actually search and edit. LatexNotes converts your GoodNotes handwriting into clean LaTeX automatically: you export a page as a PDF, upload it, and get back typeset LaTeX, with hand-drawn graphs recreated as editable TikZ and pgfplots, plus a real compiled PDF.
How to convert GoodNotes notes to LaTeX
- Export the page as a PDF in GoodNotes. Open your note, tap the share icon, choose Export, pick PDF, and select the pages you want.
- Upload the PDF to LatexNotes. Create a free account and drop the PDF in. Each account includes a monthly page allowance at no cost.
- Get your LaTeX. Every page is transcribed into clean, compilable LaTeX. Equations become proper display maths and any hand-drawn graphs are redrawn as editable TikZ and pgfplots, not screenshots.
- Edit, compile, or export. Refine the source in the built-in editor, recompile to a typeset PDF in the browser, or open it straight in Overleaf.

- Always check a transcription before you rely on it. Automatic transcription is a strong starting point, not a guarantee, especially on dense or messy pages.
Does it work with Notability and other apps?
Yes. LatexNotes works with any app that can export a PDF, including Notability, Samsung Notes, OneNote, and a scan or photo saved as a PDF. The steps are the same: export the page as a PDF, then upload it.
