Common questions

The transcription has mistakes. What do I do?

Open the LaTeX tab and edit the source, then recompile - the editor is built in. Maths-heavy pages and clear handwriting give the best results. Always check a page before relying on it.

What file types can I upload?

A PDF or an image (JPG, PNG, HEIC and more). In GoodNotes (or similar) use Share, then Export as PDF, or just take a clear photo of your page.

How do I delete my notes or account?

Delete any saved note with the x on its card on your dashboard (it asks you to confirm). To delete your whole account and everything in it, use Settings then Delete account - it happens immediately. You can also message us below.

Can I share a note with someone?

Yes. On your dashboard, use the Share button on a note's card, choose Can edit or Can view, and create a link - it works for 12 hours. Anyone signed in who opens it in that window gets access and finds the note under 'Shared with me'. You can remove access any time.

Why is a big document slow?

Each page is transcribed and the figures are checked for accuracy, which takes time on our current free infrastructure. Smaller documents finish in seconds.
